The Lost City Museum, in Overton, houses a wonderful collection of artifacts excavated from Anasazi Indian sites near Lake Mead. Once the Hoover Dam was in place, the waters of Lake Mead covered the Pueblo Grande de Nevada - Lost City - sites. The Civilian Conservation Corps conducted the excavation, as well as built the pueblo-revival style adobe brick museum.
Archaeological research is still being conducted on the remaining Lost City sites. The museum also offers outreach programs and school tours.
